The mission of the Oncology Nurses of North Alabama is to provide quality cancer care through excellence in Oncology Nursing.

The vision of the Oncology Nurses of North Alabama is to transform cancer care through nursing education, public awareness, and supportive research for the community of North Alabama.

  1. Promote knowledge in oncology nursing by providing at least five programs annually to address nursing practice issues, emerging trends in diagnosis and treatment, and survivorship issues.
  2. Partner with other at least one other local group to provide an influential voice for oncology nursing.
  3. Participate in at least two functions annually aimed at educating the non-oncology nurse and preparing future nurses to care for cancer patients.
  4. Participate in planning and assisting with at least two cancer-related community events annually.
